Harold Parker State Forest, Department of Conservation and Recreation - Snakes of New England and the World Presentation  6-24-2017

Saturday evening we had a nice snake show at Harold Parker State Forest. Beautiful weather, great crowd.

This Snakes of New England and the World Presentation was generously sponsored by our very own Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team members including Annette Huskins, Eva Allocca, Matt Curran, Bill Elwell, and an anonymous donor.

We set up in the center of a beautiful brickwork circle at the park with about thirty of our snakes. Rick gave a nice presentation of our regional snakes followed by some snakes from different parts of the world. He talked about similarities and differences in their habits and habitat here and around the world.

Thanks to our volunteers Keith Bertone, Colleen Anderson, our friends from the New England Herpetological Society and Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team snake show veterans Dawn McCall and Mike Labbe. And thanks to Alex Lawson from the park.

Photographs compliments of Keith Bertone
